Hello to all 1,534 of you! We have a big update for you today and we just want to start by acknowledging how amazing all of you are. For months, we dreamed that maybe 1,000 people would eventually see SGtA. Now, we’ve blown past that dream and we can’t stop thinking about all the fun you’re going to have at your tables with all of your closest friends. Knowing that we contributed in any way to those experiences is heartwarming and we’re happy just to be a part of them.

We have several items that need to be addressed, some of which we’ve been working on for a while. We just wanted to make sure we had all of our ducks in a row so we could communicate the changes as clearly as possible.

Nine Realms Gaming Delivery Date Change.

Our partners at Nine Realms Gaming have informed us that we have reached their max capacity for TTRPG accessory production in the allotted time frame. We had no way of knowing how popular all the bundles and Add Ons would be and did not have plans for a batch release. However, your appreciation of the product has demanded it.

Starting today, August 7th, 2021, All new orders of Nine Realms Gaming product will be delivered in April of 2022.

This delivery date change applies solely to Nine Realms products. Bundle tiers with a delivery date of January have been closed and new tiers with the April delivery have been opened. If you have already backed or ordered your Add On, it will still be delivered in January. These products will be delivered separately from bundle purchases and Hardback editions of SGtA. Our latest stretch goal is complete and more Divine Avatars are on their way! But what does that mean?

There have been some questions around the Signs, Manifestations, and Avatars. To be fair, we were not as clear as we should have been in describing what the Avatars are and what these stretch goals are unlocking.

We want to provide a clear example of what *exactly* a Divine Avatar is, so we made the Divine Avatar Stat block for Fleurtide. Follow the link below to check it out! This content is still in the playtest development stage. Pages 1 and 2 will be available for all 12 Zodiac Signs. The stretch goals are to assist us in providing the unique stat blocks and mechanics shown on page 3 and 4.

We hope that looking at an example of the final product for the Sign, Manifestation, and Avatar relationship will bring transparency to what we’re trying to accomplish. We also want to let you all know that we are committed to providing all 12 Divine Avatars at some point, even if all 12 don’t make it into SGtA. We will provide expansions to Divine Avatars as we are able to and we feel that those expansions should be provided to you glorious backers at no cost.

Future expansions

One constant question we receive is some variation of “Will we see more monsters?” “Will there be more Signs?” and “We need more!”

First of all… YES

We have always viewed Stargazer’s Guide to Aroria as the establishment of our campaign world and fully intend to expand upon the world of Aroria. We don’t want to officially announce anything yet, but we have aspirations to publish a monster compendium from the Sparrowhawks, a magical sourcebook courtesy of Niveau Maximum, and other modules to make your Adventures in Aroria as clean as possible.

Each and every time one of you backs this project, our little hearts swell with joy and you inspire us to do our very best while developing this book. Products like the Nine Realms Gaming GM screen, NPC Star Chart, and Divine Avatars allow Gamemasters to differentiate Aroria from every other setting out there and help create a unique experience we all share. Mayhem Under the Stars: An Arorian Adventure

Thank you for helping us hit our second stretch goal! You are all amazing!

Our second stretch goal unlocks a new, special edition cover for the book, which our artists are already working on. This limited edition cover is available exclusively for Kickstarter Backers, but we understand if some of you prefer the original. We will reveal the new cover as soon as it is ready and allow backers to select which of the two covers they prefer. Mystic Oracle and Weaver of Fate backers will receive both.

The goal also unlocks a One Shot adventure — Mayhem under the Stars —  designed for level 1 characters and introduces you to the city of La Cambria and the mysterious library of Niveau Maximum. Jake Huebsch will be writing this adventure and he’s provided a little teaser for how this adventure may go!

Beyond the bustling streets and boisterous calls of La Cambrian merchants lay the secluded halls and musty books of Niveau Maximum. Librarians and staff hesitantly prepare to open their newest attraction - the Stars of Aroria. Strange sightings in the newest wing have caused unrest among the librarians and staff have abruptly quit, refusing to describe what they saw. With Headmaster Trid’illion Skyweaver on sabbatical, it's up to you to enter Niveau Maximum’s newest attraction and solve the mysteries before opening night!

WOW! That was FAST!

We’re just 3 days into this Kickstarter and you amazing people have already hit our first Stretch Goal! Stargazer’s Guide to Aroria just grew another 8 pages and will include three Divine Avatars!

Let me give you a little insight on what exactly ‘Divine Avatars’ are.

In Aroria, powers beyond our comprehension are conceptualized as Signs and their influence affects the day-to-day lives of Arorian citizens. The Signs are deeply rooted into the culture of Aroria and manifest themselves in a variety of ways. For instance, a King might seek The Oracle of Frostwane when naming his next or a Villain might commit an act so heinous that they are branded by The Hand of Retribution of Duskworn. These manifestations are commonplace and are of little consequence to all but those directly involved. However, from time to time, the actions of Adventurers or NPCs in Aroria will cause disruption in the universe great enough that a Divine Avatar may be summoned onto the Material plane from the Astrological Realm.

These Divine Avatars have one purpose, and one purpose only– to restore balance to the universe. When the universe is flipped on its side by the forces of evil, or good, a Divine Avatar may be summoned to combat the threat. They present a mythological challenge level to players on par with the Kraken, Tiamat, or prophetic events like Ragnarok. When balance is restored to Aroria by the Divine Avatar they return to the Astrological Realm and are rarely seen again.

Each Divine Avatar has a unique set of rules for crossing the planes. Some are called upon by Adventurers who are brave enough to walk the shadows of their long forgotten tomb, perform a dark ritual, and sacrifice their soul, thus gaining control over the Avatar. Others arrive of their own volition and wash like a wave over tyranny and injustice. The Divine Avatars have reshaped the world of Aroria countless times in its long history and may again very soon.

Those who oppose Divine Avatars do so with great caution and Gamemasters who wish to combat their party with these creatures are recommended to allow the party to reach levels 17-20 before doing so. However, Divine Avatars are most effective in your game as a solution to some overwhelming or insurmountable threat. A low level party who is able to summon The Stag Who Knows All Paths of Lamentium to their side for an upcoming war for instance, may turn the tides irrevocably in their favor.
