Happy Halloween everyone! We hope you’re enjoying your spooky season and that maybe you took a quick one-shot adventure to the Isle of Ghostguard. Here’s your October update for shipping and a quick note in response to your comments and concerns.
Work Continues
Our focus remains on the Weaver of Fate and Celestial Hero packages and we are persistent with our progress. We are slightly behind schedule, but expect for all Weaver of Fate to ship by November 10th. We’ve also completed around 10% of the Celestial Hero packages. Our hope is reach 50% completion on the Celestial Hero packages by next update and shipping will have begun on the Quest Giver with add-ons portion.
I have two comments and one apology to make concerning the feedback we’ve received on this page.
First, I agree with all of you. The fulfillment of Stargazer’s Guide to Aroria has failed all expectations. The obstacles and hurdles we’ve had to overcome are documented in the updates below, so I won’t go over them again, but we were naïve to believe we could meet the original expectations we set. If we could do it again, there are dozens and dozens of choices we would make differently.
Second, I want to assure you all that we are working as quickly as we can to ship your orders. We originally planned to have a 3rd party fulfill your orders, but when that plan was forced to change, we scrambled to develop a process. We are a creative company and we were ill-prepared for the scope of this fulfillment from a logistical standpoint. Though our capacity is limited, our commitment is not. Everyone will receive everything they purchased.
Finally, I want to apologize for the way I have handled communication to this point. I’ve been too vague about when the next update will be and that doubt isn’t fair to all of you. For example, I said “We’ll be back in October with another update.”in September. While this update technically falls within that time frame, it does not eliminate the concern some of you feel while waiting. You didn’t have a specific date to look for an update, a date I could have committed to, but chose not to. Today, I am committed to changing that.
Next Update
We’ll be back on November 22nd with an update on shipping. I want to thank you all for your comments, which keep us accountable to this project and special thanks to Jasen Szekely for the poem, which I am going to print and hang on my wall until this project is complete. It is the kindest way anyone has ever told me to get my ass in gear.

Hello All! Ink and Lyre here with your September shipping update. We hope all is well where you are and want to stay connected as we continue to ship your orders.
Weaver of Fate and Celestial Hero’s on the way!
We had a small change in schedule because of a misplaced materials order. We intended to order boxes for the Celestial Hero package, but actually ordered the larger Weaver of Fate size. This led to us fulfilling about half of the Weaver of Fate orders and we’re getting started on the Celestial Hero.
As we search for our rhythm, we are finding faster ways to pick and pack your orders. We feel confident in our process now and hope to finish the Weaver of Fate and most of the Celestial packages by next update.

Shipping Schedule

Hello All! We’re back with a quick update on the plans in process for fulfilling Stargazer’s Guide to Aroria. We plan is to group similar shipment types together so that we can easily pick, pack, and label your orders. The easiest way to accomplish this is to ship by tiers, so all Aspiring Hero’s will ship together, all Celestial Hero’s and so on. Below is the order in which we’ll be shipping out.
Tier Shipping Order
- Celestial Hero
- Mystic Oracle
- Weaver of Fate
- Quest Giver (with Add Ons)
- Aspiring Hero/Limited Aspiring Hero (With Add Ons)
- Limited Aspiring Hero
- Aspiring Hero
Future Updates
The vast majority of our orders are Aspiring Hero or Limited Aspiring Hero, so the first five categories only represent about 20% of our total orders. We’ve chosen to ship these first because they are the most complicated and we believe that we can expedite the shipping process by shipping all multi-item orders first. If you find yourself in one of those tiers you can expect your orders to arrive as soon as next week. Once all the multi-item orders have shipped, the single-book orders will begin.
We’ll be back the first week of August with an update on our shipping progress.

Summer Update

Hello all and Happy Juneteenth! We hope you’re having a great summer and are taking advantage of any extra time you have. I know you’ve all been asking for an update and since we have news to report, here it is!
The Kickstarter product has arrived
Yes! It’s as simple as that. All books, dice trays, dice boxes, posters, and other add-ons have arrived and are in our possession. I want to take this opportunity to thank our Ink and Lyre members on the west coast for all their help and generosity during this process. Now that we have the product safely in hand, shipping can begin.
What you need to do
We’re giving all backers 48 hours to update to their address on Backerkit. If you’ve had a change in address in the last few months, now is the time to confirm that it is correct for your physical copy of Stargazer’s Guide to Aroria. We’ll be locking addresses on June 21st.
What you need to know
The shipping process will take some time. We’ll be packing and shipping each and every order ourselves and want to get this right the first time. We’ll be taking extra precautions to check and double-check each order so that our diligence overwhelms our inexperience here. The goal is to fulfill the orders in batches, starting with orders containing Nine Realms (wooden) products. By next week, we expect to have a full shipping schedule up for your reference.
Homestretch
We’re almost done everyone! This has been such a stressful and special project for all of us at Ink and Lyre and we’re so excited to see it to completion so we can get back to building new worlds and telling new stories. As always, we appreciate each and every one of you and look forward to the stories you will tell with your closest friends.
