Communication Delay

Hi everyone! Our apologies for the delay, we know you need communication from us and it’s frustrating when you don’t hear news you were expecting. We should have sent it out earlier this month, but many of us are located in central Florida and keeping ourselves safe from Hurricane Ian took up our thoughts and focus. Fortunately, everyone here is okay, and we had very minor damage from the storm. That being said, we know communication is important and we have some quick updates on shipping, the stretch goal adventures, and the Lapidary Artificer.

Shipping Update

As we stated last month, not much has changed and everything is on track. The physical products have arrived or are arriving at our fulfillment center and the book is on its way. We hope to have everything shipped by the holidays.

Stretch Goal Adventures:

Hi folks, it’s Jake here. The stretch goal adventures are written, tested, and will land in your inboxes via Backerkit soon. Thanks for the opportunity to write “Mayhem in the Stars” and the subsequent two adventures. They’ve been so much fun and I’ve watched the Pagemaster and a lot of Ben Stiller movies for inspiration while working on them. Hopefully, you will find as much inspiration and enjoyment in them as I did.

Lapidary Artificer:

In order to comply with WOTC’s OGL, the Lapidary Artificer subclass was a necessary cut from SGtA. The class is one of our favorites from SGtA and we’re proud to announce that the Lapidary Artificer is coming to all of you on Monday, October 17th! We’ll be distributing the subclass through Backerkit for all of you who backed the project and making it available for those who didn’t on DMs Guild.

Join us for a Spelljammer Campaign!

Spelljammer is coming to the Ink and Lyre Twitch Channel! Join Jake and the crew on a spacefaring adventure starting this Wednesday at 6:00 PST.  The whole crew has been ramping up for an exciting game and we've got some cool characters for you all to get to know! Check all of them out here!

August Update: First Look!

Hello Backers! Ink and Lyre here with the August update. We’re excited to share the final approved proof for SGtA with you all, as well as a sneak peek at our Enamel Pin design. Here’s a little housekeeping before we get started.

Shipping Update

With the final proof in hand, printing and shipping of fulfilment has begun. All the add on physical products are on their way to our fulfillment center and the book itself will arrive in the coming weeks. Everything is slowly, but surely, making it’s way to you.

Stargazer’s Guide to Aroria: First Look

Check out this quick look at the proof for SGtA. This physical copy is the first printed piece of material with the people, places, and things in Aroria and looking at the setting on paper for the first time was an awesome experience. We cannot wait to get the final copy in our hands and in your homes!

Enamel Pins

We received these pins earlier this month and they are already well on their way to fulfillment, but we really love how they turned out.

Hello Stargazers! Whether you're spending ‌plenty of time in the sun or doing a great job at staying cool, we hope your summer is going well. We have little to report in this update and production is progressing as expected. However, we do have a few things we’d like to share with you about Ink and Lyre.

Production

Printing is progressing as expected, there’s not much else to say about it. There are always concerns about the global shipping environment and moving products around the country, but for now, we’re still on track for the Late August completion.

Fate’s End and Iron Valor

Both Fate’s End and Wild Beyond the Witchlight are coming to a close. If you’ve been following our SGtA homebrew show, you’ll know that Fate’s End is entering the last arc of the campaign and our final cards will be drawn. Likewise, Wild Beyond the Witchlight’s final episode on Iron Valor is this Wednesday as the Witchlight Playwrights wrap up the module. You can check out the endings of both on Mondays at 8:30 Est and Wednesday at 9:30 Est, respectively.

Hello Backers, Ink and Lyre here with a May update. We missed an update a few Fridays ago and we’re sorry for the radio silence, but things have been hectic over here. We had a few issues with our printer, showcased Stargazer’s on Dungeon Scrawlers, and have generally been dealing with graduation season. Here’s what you need to know.

Printer Problems

Technically, there are no issues with our printer, but new information on the printing process threw a wrench in our publishing plans. In the printing business, the more copies of a product you produce, the cheaper it becomes. We estimated our costs based on a single cover book, but because we have two covers, they evaluated the order on a different scale. Long-story-short, adding the limited edition cover on SGtA is much more expensive than we expected.

As a result, we’ve elected to print just the limited edition of SGtA with our current printer and are seeking other publishing avenues for the standard edition. The limited edition was by far the most popular option for SGtA (around 75% of all books) and their quantity makes sense with our current manufacturer. We believe the standard edition can be printed quicker and more efficiently with a different printer and we are pursuing those options now.

That being said, we have a projected fulfillment date! The printing and shipping process from our supplier is projected to take 6-8 weeks. Once the books have arrived, the fulfillment group will begin shipping your orders!. If all goes well, you can expect your copy of SGtA, along with your physical Add-Ons, in late August 2022

Dungeon Scrawlers One-Shot

This past Monday, our own Jake Huebsch ran Mayhem Under The Stars for our friends over at Dungeon Scrawlers. We are so proud of Jake for showcasing the book for the cast and had a blast chatting with their community. Check them out in the link above and give them a Follow for good measure.

New PDF, Website updates, and Elden Ring?

Hey everyone, the end of April update here and there are quite a few exciting things to mention!

Official Digital PDF Release!

All the edits and changes you all have noticed and requested for SGtA have been executed. The latest version of SGtA should have hit your email this afternoon and you may replace your existing file with the new one or keep it as a reminder of our mistakes. We want to thank you all for your collaboration in this. It’s just another shining example of how this would not be possible without you!

Website Update!

In addition to our merch store, where you can get our T-Shirts, Beanies, and Hats, we’ve added a new Digital Marketplace to our website! You’ll find SGtA, all our digital products, and future content to support your journey in Aroria there. The majority of our digital products will also be available on DriveThruRPG, SGtA launches next week and future content will post concurrently.

Proofs and Shipping

We are submitting the files to our printer this week for the SGtA hardback proof. This test print will help us ensure the best possible print quality for the book and allow us to make sure all the beautiful art meets your expectations. Once we’ve ensured the proof works for us, we will move forward with the production. More to come in the next update.

Elden Ring in 5e?

If you’ve been on Twitch or in the Fantasy RPG video game space the last month or so, you’ve probably heard of Elden Ring. Well tonight, James, Daniel, and Max are streaming Elden Ring live on our Twitch with the return of Short Rest. We’ve recreated two weapons and one monster from Elden Ring and are releasing them on DnDBeyond for free! If you’re looking for some Elden Ring inspiration for your 5e game, come watch us acquire the weapons in the game and die multiple times as we try to beat the boss your party could face.
